Rihanna Says Motherhood is a “Head f**k” and Other Takeaways From Her British Vogue Interview
Rihanna made headlines all day yesterday when her family appeared on the cover of British Vogue. The photos of she, A$AP Rocky and her baby boy went viral as well as her interview for the British Vogue cover story were trending all over social media. Here are some of the biggest takeaways from the interview:
Rihanna says A$AP Rocky definitely wanted a son: “Rocky wanted to know. He wanted a boy. At first he was open, then he was like, ‘Nah, I want a boy, I’m sure.’ I was just like, ‘Lord, please let this man get what he wants.”
In regards to the Super Bowl halftime show, Rihanna says the NFL still has a lot of healing to do, adding “There’s still a lot of mending to be done in my eyes,” she says of the NFL, having previously turned down the Halftime Show in solidarity with #ColinKaepernick. “But it’s powerful to break those doors, and have representation at such a high, high level and a consistent level.”
When speaking of her relationship with A$AP Rocky, Rihanna says having a baby has made them closer: “We have to be on the same page, but we’ve always kind of had that in our relationship. Everything changes when you have a baby, but I wouldn’t say it’s done anything but made us closer.”
Rihanna says right now, in her life, she’s the happiest she’s ever been and that giving birth was an actual “head f**k”: The “head-f**k” was real though. “I cannot believe it,” she says, still floored by the experience. “Essentially, from one person I became two. You walk into the hospital as a couple and leave as a family of three. It’s nuts.”
And when talking about A$AP Rocky, Rihanna says “We’re best friends with a baby.”

Rihanna's Pregnant With Second Child, Wildest Twitter Reactions
Rihanna really knows how to stop a show. Here we are, the Monday after the Super Bowl and we really thought we were going to be talking about Rihanna’s actual halftime performance. Sure, she did a great job and performed an amazing medley of her biggest hits with dozens of dancers and elevated stages but it’s what was going on inside Rihanna’s belly that had everyone talking. When she first appeared on stage, she was wearing a red jump suit that was unzippered and people were quick to point out that her stomach looked a little, let’s just say bloated. But we all know she recently had a baby so many didn’t want to jump to any conclusions. But it became clear within minutes of Rihanna rubbing her baby bump that she was trying to make an announcement, much like Beyonce at the MTV VMA’s back in 2011. After the performance, Twitter had exploded with all kinds of speculation until we received actual confirmation from her reps that she is indeed pregnant with her second child with Asap Rocky. The couple welcomed their first child back in May of 2022. A source told People Magazine “Everything Rihanna does, she does it her own way on her own time table, and having a baby is no different,” the source said, adding that the couple were over the moon about their baby on the way. “They’re just like any other pair of parents-to-be. Yes, they happen to be famous, but they’re just the cutest, giddiest young couple that’s expecting kids.”
Of course, with this announcement comes some hilarious Twitter reactions. Many people were questioning it at first and didn’t want to ask the question in case it was a case of Rihanna not losing the baby weight. Many were confident and just happy for them. Here are some of the best reactions.
