"She spread her butt cheek" and other FCC Complaints About Rihanna's Super Bowl Halftime Performance

Rihanna's performance at the Super Bowl halftime show received a variety of critiques. Some loved it and loved the fact that she seemed to make a pregnancy reveal right at the beginning.

Others thought it was boring and that she didn't do enough stage wise or performance wise to warrant a GREAT halftime show.

Whatever side of the fence you're on, there's a huge probability you didn't complain to the FCC. However, dozens of people did. In fact, there were 103 official complaints to the FCC about Rihanna's Super Bowl halftime performance. Here are some of the complaints.

"I don't care what someone worships but children shouldn't be exposed to pornography and as an adult I don't wish to see it."

"Where has the decency gone?"

"How about respect for others and self?"

"This year the halftime show was so indecent I had to turn off the TV because of the pornographic content."

"She spread her [butt] cheek at the crack. She rubbed her pants where her labia were three times."

Now to put this into perspective, the Janet Jackson / Justin Timberlake wardrobe malfunction in 2004 generated 540,000 complaints. Rihanna, by the way, has just been tapped to perform her Oscar nominated song "Lift Me Up" at the Academy Awards on March 12.
