Drake & Future Executive Produced Project Coming To Hulu
Drake and Future are collaborating again. But it’s not for a new album. The What a Time to be Alive duo has their eyes set on the small screen. They will both be executive producing a new show coming to Hulu.
Saint X, is an eight-episode series that premieres later this month on the streaming platform. The show takes you through multiple timelines as it “explores and upends the ‘girl-gone-missing’ genre and how a young woman’s mysterious death during an idyllic Caribbean vacation creates a traumatic ripple effect that eventually pulls her surviving sister into a dangerous pursuit of the truth,” the synopsis reads. The show stars Alycia Debnam-Carey, Josh Bonzie, West Duchovny, Jayden Elijah, Bre Francis, Kenlee Anaya Townsend, Betsy Brandt, and Michael Park.
Drake and Future are joined by Watchman’s Stephen Williams, Euphoria‘s Jason Shrier, and Once Upon a Time Steve Pearlman as fellow producers.
Saint X is written by Leila Gerstein who also worked on The Handmaid’s Tale, Mrs. America, Hart of Dixie. The series is based off of Alexis Schaitkin’s 2020 bestselling novel of the same name. “From the moment I finished reading Alexis Schaitkin’s wonderful novel, I knew I wanted to adapt it,” Gerstein told ELLE.com. “The novel has textured characters, a multi-layered world, surprises, and themes that intrigue me as a writer and I was so excited to expand on what Alexis had set up. Like the book, the show deals with very real issues like grief, class, race, and culture’s obsession with dead white girls while set in a beautiful location with a great mystery propelling us to the end.”
Saint X will premiere on Hulu starting April 26 with the first three episodes. New episodes will drop weekly on the streaming platform.
