Is there actually a Massachusetts DOG bar? What IS a DOG bar? Well to answer that important question we go to the unassuming town of Everett.
There, we'll find a bunch of very happy doggies.
National Pet Day
For pet owners like me, this is celebrated EVERY DAY. For example, my wife feels it's time to get a cute little dog, like Eddie, on Frazier. Now, I adore my wife, and 99% of the time she's right about everything, EXCEPT THIS. If we get a doggie, Eddie's life will come to a swift and painful end, thanks to our kitty Ellie. Ellie, meet Eddie, Eddie, meet GOD. Heidi misses our little kitty Bobo, who left us last September. Bobo, was more dog than cat. Ellie knew that which is why she made Bobo's life difficult.
Ellie, now that she's runs our home, oddly she doesn't need pheromone plug ins. No more special drops needed to calm her down to get her claws trimmed. She lets mommy trim them now. Please don't tell that to Ellies former vet tech. (Note the word, former.)
Dog Bar Coming April 13
Soon we can enjoy a cool, adult beverage with other adults, AND their dogs. It's called Park-9 coming to Everett April 13. They are promoting is as New England's first dog bar. It's a combo of dog park and drinking establishment with 10,000 square feet of doggie running heaven. Did we mention that it's INDOOR? With treats for doggies, and humans, Park-9 just may be the cool new hangout.
According to bostonmagzine.com: Try to hold a straight face while you order a Bark Side of the Moon boozy coffee drink and the recommended peanut butter cannoli for your dog (which, to be fair, sounds delish enough for a human). West Wareham-based Preppy Puppy Bakery crafts cute confections like a taco-shaped treat for your pup to scarf as you sip the spicy margarita riff called Double Dog Dare. Or if you’re spoiling your fur baby (they deserve it!), order up a doggie dessert flight, which features a mini doughnut, a mini cupcake, and a cannoli. Plus, there’s a flight of seafood treats by Boston-based Polkadog.
Massachusetts DOG bar is a bone's throw, I mean a stones throw away. Don't tell Ellie.
We all need smiles daily. Some days are harder to smile than others. For the most part, our pets and others' pets do just that. They put smiles on our faces. More specifically, dogs and cats that have their tongues sticking out are even more cute. I gathered some pictures from some of my Facebook friends and wanted to create a gallery because, let's be honest, animals make us happy. So enjoy the gallery of dogs and cats with their tongues sticking out today. I hope this brings you as much joy as it brings me.
