Ice Spice Teases Vogue & eBay Announcement Ahead Of Met Gala

Ice Spice, eBay and the Met Gala have a special treat for fans said to be announced sometime today (May 1), according to a clip that is being shared online. "Hi, It’s Ice Spice and I’m partnering with Vogue and eBay for a very special announcement coming to you on the first Monday in May," she says in the clip. "Join me for fashion’s biggest night out. You do not want to miss this. Stay tuned."

The Bronx native did not give any more details away, including if the "Princess Diana" rapper will be attending the annual gala herself. However, fans are hyped at the possibility that the "Munch" hitmaker will appear. "If she goes to THEE MET GALA 1 year into her career I’m like actually gonna scream," one fan wrote.

Another fan is excited for the emcee to get her moment, as she was underestimated at the beginning of her career. "Ice Spice went from being dismissed as a meme and a 'one hit wonder' with 'Munch,' but now she has 2 Top 10s and has 3 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 at once, & also being invited to the met gala with NO ALBUM OUT," the fan wrote. "As an og fan, proud is an understatement of how i feel right now."

The 2023 Met Gala is scheduled for May 1 at 6:30 pm EDT.

Ice Spice just linked with Nicki Minaj for the "Princess Diana" remix which debuted atop Billboard's Hot Rap Songs chart. It became the first record by two co-billed women in the list’s 34-year history.

In addition to their remix, the duo released an EP of alternate versions of "Princess Diana." It included a sped-up version, clean, extended, slowed-down and instrumental editions. The original "Princess Diana" premiered on Spice's debut EP released in January titled, Like..?
