Barbz you won't have to hold out much longer. Nicki Minaj has confirmed that her fifth studio album, which she refers to as "NM5", will be released at some point this year.

"Oh yes fractions warned, SFG did what fractions warned. Red Ruby Da Sleeze MOTHERED so hard & is now the standard. NM5 is the best thing that will come out of 2023 & will raise the bar to new & unreachable heights. NM5 tour will be hailed as 'genius'. That’s it & that’s all," Nicki tweeted Wednesday (May 10).

"NM5" will follow Nicki's 2018 LP Queen.  It featured guest appearances from Eminem, Future, Swae Lee, Lil Wayne, Ariana Grande, and The Weeknd. Queen included popular songs "Chun-Li," "Rich Sex," and, "FEFE."

So far this year, Nicki has released one solo song, "Red Ruby Da Sleeze," jumped on Kim Petras' "Alone" and hopped on a remix with Ice Spice for "Princess Diana." After she and Ice Spice's "Princess Diana" collab the two dropped a new EP of 2023/04/14/nicki-minaj-joins-ice-spice-on-princess-diana-remix/, days after the song and its video set social media on fire.

The Queen and The People's Princess released four alternate versions on Tuesday (April 18) that still maintain the original's fun and flirty beat but added different layers of energy to the remixes breathing a new life onto the song.

The original version of "Princess Diana" is from the Bronx native's debut EP Like...?, which dropped in January. The six-track EP included three new offerings, including "Princess Diana," "Actin A Smoochie," and "Gangsta Boo" featuring Lil Tjay. It also featured "Bikini Bottom," "In Ha Mood," and her breakout hit "Munch (Feeln' U)."
