Cardi B Shuts Down Ice Spice Shade Rumors
Cardi B is rebuking claims that she threw Ice Spice some shade over the weekend. Both rappers performed at the same New York show but fans were trying to pin that some subliminal Ice Spice disses were thrown into Cardi’s performance. However, the “Up” rapper was not having it and quickly shut those rumors down.
“For y’all muthaf——- that’s on Twitter tryna be messy, please, cut the bulls—,” Cardi B said on Instagram Live after the show, per XXL. “I don’t — that’s not me, like come on now. First of all, y’all been wanting me to be messy all things. Y’all wanted me to be messy on the song, y’all wanted me to — nah, come on now. Cut the bulls—, please. Get a mop. Y’all being too messy and y’all being annoying.”
Cardi B headlined the show and she opened up performing “Tomorrow 2” with GloRilla. However, in the intro of the song they decided to play “Tomorrow” from the 1982 film Annie which notably the main character has ginger-hair similar to Ice Spice.

Another instance was put up for debate online when there was an anime image of a character that looked like Ice Spice bent over the New York skyline.
“Cardi B putting a caricature of ice spice on her set in the same outfit she wore on a ig story when she was rapping tomorrow 2 and singing annie before transitioning into tomorrow 2… shading a girl that showed nothing but love to you,” a fan tweeted with a screenshot of the image side-by-side of a video of Ice Spice jamming out to Cardi’s verse on “Tomorrow 2.”
Fans have seemingly tried to pin beef between the Bronx-bred emcees since Ice Spice featured Nicki Minaj on her “Princess Diana” remix. Nicki Minaj and Cardi B’s beef dates back to 2017, when the New York rappers were constantly being compared to one another. Ice Spice has not yet addressed the alleged shade.
