If you're a fan of Sweetgreen and live on the North Shore, there's some good news for you. A New Northshore Sweetgreen is opening today at 10:30am inside of the Northshore Mall. The fast casual restaurant chain is known for their salads, yummy warm bowls, and sides. That Harvest Bowl and Shroomami are a couple of my favorites.

The new Northshore Sweetgreen in the mall is 2,500 square-feet that can seat 22 people inside, as well as 12 people outside on the patio.

New Northshore Sweetgreen

The new Sweetgreen location opening at the Northshore Mall Tuesday will donate one meal to Citizens Inn in Peabody for every meal it sells that day. It'll be open every day from 10:30am to 10pm, so you'll have lots of time to get over there and get your lunch or dinner.

Besides having another great location, there's another reason to visit the new Northshore Sweetgreen. At today's opening, they will be donating a meal to Citizens Inn for every meal that is sold. The meals will feed people in Peabody experiencing food insecurity.

Partnership with Citizens Inn

According to their website, "At Citizens Inn, we work on an individual basis to help families and individuals who are experiencing a housing crisis or food insecurity. Our full spectrum of services provides comprehensive assistance to each person based on their specific needs. Citizens Inn, now merged with Haven from Hunger, has served families and individuals across the North Shore for over 40 years." Citizens Inn has provided food, shelter and other resources for those in need on the North Shore since 1984.

There will be a a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Peabody Chamber of Commerce today at 10:30 a.m.

It will pay to get there early as the first 100 customers will receive free ice cream from Treadwell’s in Peabody. They'll also receive a candle from the local candlemaker Scents for Cents. The first 50 kids will get a DIY craft kit from downtown Peabody’s Create & Escape.

Sullivan's Castle Island in Southie has reopened for its 72nd season and it's even more spectacular than ever. Sullivan's is iconic and when it opens, it's the true sign that spring and eventually summer is upon us. According to the Sullivan's website: "Founder Dan Sullivan, Sr. opened the doors with the plan to provide quality food at reasonable prices in a family friendly atmosphere to those enjoying leisure time on the 22-acre recreation site, now operated as a state park." People travel from all over New England to try some of Sullivan's favorites. From the ice cream, to the shakes, to the fried clams, to the lobster rolls, Sullivan's is truly a gem right here in Southie.

Believe it or not, there are now three Sullivan's locations for you to enjoy. Besides the iconic South Boston, Castle island location, there is now one open in Hanover on Washington Street. There is also a location in Boston on Causeway Street. Regardless of which location you go to, you will be able to try any of these suggestions on their menu.

That being said, we asked you what your favorite dishes are at Sullivan's. Boy did you have answers and you are passionate about them. Hundreds of responses came in but there were many of the same answers which we will include below. The bottom line for the food at Sullivan's is that it's just something you can't explain. The food is just made with love. Not to mention, there's something to be said about grabbing a shake or a burger and some fries and then taking a walk around Castle Island.
