Jennifer Hudson Addresses Common Dating Rumors

Jennifer Hudson is setting the record straight about her dating actor and rapper Common. A reporter from TMZ ran into the EGOT recipient and asked her if she is dating Common.

"Rumors say a lot of things," Hudson told the outlet on Tuesday (Aug. 1). "But he’s a beautiful man, I will give you that. That’s for certain."

The reporter asked if she could see them working together in the studio.

"It would be dope to see two Chicagoans together, but I don’t know about that," Hudson said. She added that it would be "awesome" if they ever decided to though.

However, she denied that they were recently on vacation together, "I didn’t know about that part," she quipped.

Last year she spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the rumors. She summed it up to basically just catching a bite to eat after filming: "We shot a film together, and he played my husband. We gotta eat in between those moments."

Hudson is referring to the thriller Breathe, where she and Common played husband and wife. The film also stars Sam Worthington and Milla Jovovich.

The television host was previously married to David Otunga, with whom she shares son David Jr., 13. The two finalized their divorce in 2017.

Common most recently dated actress Tiffany Haddish. The two began dating in 2020 and ended their relationship in November 2021. The comedian has been open about her split from Common. She says that the actor broke up with her over the phone.

"It was more him saying, 'I think this relationship has run its course,'" Haddish told The Washington Post. "And I was like, ‘OK. Like, you gonna be a 50-year-old single man. OK?'"

Common broke his silence on their split a month after the breakup. "It probably was the most mature relationship I have been in… meaning the communication, the respect, just all around, man," he told Hollywood Unlocked With Jason Lee: Uncensored. "Even from the standpoint of dealing with the pandemic and being around each other, and communicating, and knowing how to navigate that."

Jason Statham came third with 7.4 million, 5.4 million for Pitbull, and a close 5.3 million for Michael Jordan, who completed the list’s top five bald men. Other honorable mentions included Floyd Mayweather, John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Dwyane Johnson, and Vin Diesel — in that order.

This year, a study by SEO agency Reboot rated bald celebrities by their "cranial shine factor" (how shiny their heads are). The findings ranked Vin Diesel as the sexiest bald man with an overall score of 6.46 out of 10. In terms of height, the Fast & Furious star is taller than the male average at 5 ft 9 in, while he had a beaming cranial shine fact of 563.65 candelas per square meter. This equates to his head reflecting light with 70.46 percent of the luminous intensity of a standard light bulb.
