Tory Lanez will reportedly give his first interview since his 2023 conviction soon. He is currently serving his 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot in 2020. According to popular video game streamer Adin Ross and HotNewHipHop, Lanez will speak in his first official interview.

"Yo chat, by the way, free my dawg Tory, man," Ross said per the outlet. "Adin x Tory Lanez stream — it’s going to be a Zoom call, chat. He’s going to be in jail, and I’m going to be at the warehouse. Zoom call, very, very soon."

According to the outlet, there is no specific date for the interview.

The last time Lanez addressed his fans was back in September with an Instagram post after his court appearance.

"Ayo Umbrellas, what’s good, I’m talking to you live from prison right now," he said. "Man. I’m just happy to get out of that county jail. They was hating on a young fly, you heard? Had me on 24-hour lockdown. Half-sized cell by myself. No windows, no mirrors. Ain’t even seen himself in a whole year, yo."

He continued: "But with all them disadvantages against me, my head is always been held high, man. And I want y’all to know that I’m in great spirits."

A month prior, he spoke to fans in August when he stood on his belief that he did not commit the shooting and that he does not belong in prison.

"In no way shape or form was I apologizing for the charges I’m being wrongfully convicted of," Lanez wrote on Instagram at the time. "I remain on the stance that I refuse to apologize for something that I did not do. I’ve faced adversity my whole life and every time it looked like I would lose, I came out on top. This is nothing but another moment where my back is against the wall and I refuse to stop fighting till I come out victorious. Tough times don’t last, tough people do. To my family, friends, and umbrellas thank you for your continued support. See you soon."

Tory Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, made his mark on the industry in 2016 with his debut album I Told You. From there, the singer/rapper began to brand himself as a master of samples by creating his own mixtape series called "chixtapes." With his Chixtape series, which currently has five installments, the singer puts his own spin on classic R&B songs from artists such as Aaliyah, Usher, Ashanti, and more. In addition to his Chixtape series, he continued to push out six studio albums as he teamed up with the likes of Chris Brown, G-Eazy, Meek Mill, and more. Since the recent legal battle between Megan Thee Stallion and Canadian rapper, Lanez has kept a low profile since the 2020 shooting and has used his music to share his side of the story.

Take a look at 10 of Tory Lanez's best songs ranked below:

But yeah, we had to clear it with One Direction, so that's a Zayn sample. Me and Christian Lou been working together for years. So I think when he heard it, he just was like, "Nah, this is for Tory.
