Gisele and jiu jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente have allegedly broken up. But is Tom Brady to blame? Rumors are running rampant that the spotlight was too much for Joaquim and he couldn’t handle it anymore.
Tom Brady roast adds scrutiny to Gisele’s relationship
Sources say Joaquim hated the spotlight and after Tom Brady’s roast, it made things hard on him because of all the scrutiny. You’ll remember there were several jokes made about Gisele leaving Tom for Joaquim and the jokes from the public may have been too much for him to handle.
A source tells Page Six: “Joaquim’s a regular guy. He’s not used to all the attention he was getting.” Gisele and Joaquim have not been seen together since April. That’s the last time they’ve been photographed together. “Joaquim became part of the joke. People actually started asking him if he was the reason for their divorce. He hated that.”

Gisele and Joaquim have been dating since June of 2023. He was Gisele’s kids’ jiu jitsu instructor for years and at first she denied their relationship. It was kept quiet for a long time but eventually it came out. There were rumors that Tom believed Gisele and Joaquim had started dating BEFORE the announcement of she and Tom’s split but that could never be confirmed.
As for what’s next for Gisele, it’s hard to tell. Tom has been openly having some dates with Irina Shayk but other than that, he’s kept his dating life somewhat private. Will there be any possibility of a Tom and Gisele reconciliation? One can never tell. But it does seem that at least for now both Tom and Gisele are single.
