You know it’s summer when it’s time for Boston Movie Nights! They’re back again for another year as Boston Mayor Michelle Wu brings some of your favorite family movies to your backyard. The best part? Boston Movie Nights are free!
Boston Movie Nights – What You Need To Know
It’s definitely become a community tradition in the city – Boston Movie Nights. Your local park plays host to some great movies that are fun for the whole family. All shows start at dusk (approximately 8:00 p.m.). Free fresh popcorn provided while supplies last.

The Little Mermaid (2023) About the movie: The youngest of King Triton’s daughters and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea and, while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gives her a chance to experience life on land but ultimately places her life – and her father’s crown – in jeopardy.

The story introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in.

Wonka About the movie: This fantasy musical film follows the story of Willy Wonka, the famous but eccentric chocolatier based on the character from Roald Dahl’s novel. In particular, it emphasizes his rise to the top. The narrative traces his beginnings as a young adult who started as an employee selling chocolate in a store until he became driven to enter the chocolate industry eventually. This film acts as a prequel to the 1971 film adaptation of Dahl’s novel. Boston Movie Nights.

Kung Fu Panda 4 About the movie: After three death-defying adventures defeating world-class villains with his unmatched courage and mad martial arts skills, Po, the Dragon Warrior, is called upon by destiny to…give it a rest already. More specifically, he’s tapped to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace. That poses a couple of obvious problems. First, Po knows as much about spiritual leadership as he does about the paleo diet, and second, he needs to quickly find and train a new Dragon Warrior before he can assume his new lofty position. Not only that, but the group members are his real-life brothers to boot. However, when they disbanded, Branch never saw his boyband brothers again until his brother Floyd is kidnapped. Branch mobilizes his family for the rescue.
