If you are unaware, SZA has had a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) done in the past and has been praised for her body since. But, she's opening up about how much of a regret it is for her now.
During a recent interview with British Vogue, the 35-year-old singer was very honest about her BBL experience. Looking back, SZA reflects on the decision and feels that it was not necessary for her to get done at the time. She also says that she wishes she focused on other things like her mental health and not her body.
SZA Opens Up About Her BBL
“I’m so mad I did that s---," she told British Vogue. "I gained all this weight from being immobile while recovering and trying to preserve the fat. It was just so stupid. But who gives a f---? You got a BBL, you realize you didn’t need the s---. It doesn’t matter. I’ll do a whole bunch more s--- just like it if I want to before I’m f---ing dead because this body is temporary. It just wasn’t super necessary – I have other s--- that I need to work on about myself… I need to get my f---ing mental health together… Not to say you can’t do those things simultaneously, just, for me, I realize wherever you go, there you’ll be."
Although she regrets getting the BBL in the first place, she does also explain that she loves her butt. "Don’t get me wrong. My booty look nice. And I’m grateful that it looks pretty much… I don’t know, sometimes natural, but I don’t even care. It’s something that I wanted. I’m enjoying it. I love shaking it,” she said."
A BBL is not the only form of cosmetic surgery that SZA has gotten done. She opened up about her breast implants in the past and how painful of an experience they were. She ended up getting those implants removed.
BBLs have grown extremely popular in the last few years of the social media era. Many feel that the BBL surgery was just a "trend" at the time and now many celebrities are opening up about why they regret having any of the work done.
