Kanye West, now known as Ye, has been making headlines again, this time with big announcements in both fashion and music. On the fashion front, he revealed that his YZY brand will soon launch a women’s line. He teased the news on Instagram with a now-deleted post showing a black bodysuit with a bold design. His caption read, “Yzy women’s coming next • SCALING INNOVATION.”

Ye also had strong words for the fashion industry, warning “anyone in clothing that doesn’t work at Yeezy.” He criticized companies for copying his designs, overcharging his fans, and ignoring his vision. “Be afraid,” he said, accusing others of halting the production of foam runners and Yeezy slides during COVID only to copy them later.

He added, “People tried to tell me to go back to adidas; Of course, it was people close enough to ask for money from me. They didn’t care about my freedom or vision.” Ye went on to say, “Now my vision is coming to life, and I have a John Wick vendetta against every fashion company; as my fellow Gemini Tupac said, ‘Die mutherf*cker Die Now; play off the grid.’”

While no release date or further details about YZY Women’s have been announced, Ye appears to be moving full steam ahead.

On the music side, Ye shared an update on Tuesday (Jan. 21) about his daughter North’s album. He posted a black-and-white photo of 11-year-old North sitting next to a keyboard with the caption: “This little girl made me love music again. She asked me to make beats for her. I got back on the ASR, chopped up beats for her album, and chopped every beat with my bare hands for BULLY.

North made her rapping debut on the Vultures 1 track “Talking / Once Again.” Last year, during a Vultures 2 listening event, she announced plans for her own album called Elementary School Dropout, a nod to Ye’s 2004 debut album The College Dropout.

Meanwhile, Ye has been working on his own solo album, Bully, which he has been teasing since last September. He’s reportedly doing all the production himself while working in Tokyo. This would be Ye’s first solo album since 2021’s Donda. While there’s no confirmed release date yet, it seems the album could drop soon.
