Falmouth to Host Three-Day Holiday Celebration With Parade, Stroll, Santa’s Arrival

A holiday parade known as the largest in Southeastern New England will highlight a weekend of festivities in Falmouth.

The Holidays by the Sea weekend, Friday, Dec. 5, to Sunday, Dec. 7, will include Santa's arrival by boat, Mrs. Claus at Nobska Lighthouse, a Jingle Jog for kids, caroling, and hot chocolate as part of the kickoff festivities.

Saturday, Dec. 6

The Falmouth Village Holiday Stroll on Saturday, Dec. 6, will offer festive shopping, live music and dancing, Santa appearances, an ice sculpture, and an artisans market. Santa will be at Barbo's Furniture from 4 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. A live ice sculpture by South Cape Ice will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., while an artisans market at Peg Noonan Park will run from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

In addition to the Holiday Stroll, several holiday markets and fairs on Saturday, Dec. 6, will include the Wreath Sale and Holiday Market at Museums on the Green, Christmas fairs at the First Congregational Church and Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church, and the Falmouth Arts Center Holiday Market and Gift Gallery, showcasing handmade gifts and decorations.

Additional highlights of the weekend will feature the 14th Annual GhELF Run and Jingle Jog 5K on Saturday, Dec. 6, starting and ending at The Run House, with a festive dress code and a course map available for participants.

Sunday, Dec. 7

The 62nd Annual Falmouth Christmas Parade is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 7, at noon. It will run from Dillingham Avenue and Davis Straits along Main Street to the Village Green. This year's theme is Holiday Movie Night. The parade will be held rain or shine.
