The New England Saltwater Fishing Show is coming to the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence from Friday, March 6, to Sunday, March 8.

According to The Providence Journal report, the show, presented by the Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association, is the Northeast's largest saltwater fishing expo. It will feature more than 300 exhibitors with a full lineup of tackle, rods, reels, lures, electronics, boats, engines, accessories, clothing, and related gear.

Seminars during the event will feature experienced captains and local experts who will detail how to hook fish, fish from shore, kayak, or boat. Sessions on tactics and strategies, and notable talks like "Growing Fish to Abundance" by Travers and Capt. Dave Monti, will also be held.

Attendees can expect show-exclusive discounts across exhibitors, along with products and services for charter guides, boats, motors, and apparel.

In addition to product and service offerings, the show also emphasizes science and conservation. It will include sessions on growing fish populations and on efforts from organizations such as the Atlantic Shark Institute, the Narragansett Bay Estuary Program, Rhode Island Sea Grant, and URI's Graduate School of Oceanography.

Sponsorship and interactive exhibits include two booths from the Rhode Island Breakers sportfishing team and the Sport Fishing Championship league.

Adult tickets are $15, with free admission for children 11 and younger, a kids' casting area, and Family Day offering free entry for women. Show hours are Friday, March 6, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, March 7, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, March 8, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

More information is available on the show's website.
