JetBlue has unveiled a new seasonal daily transatlantic route from Boston to Barcelona. The new route is designed to enhance travel for U.S. and European travelers and support the carrier's international connectivity and affordability goals. This route, operated by the Airbus A321LR, launched on April 16 and runs through Oct. 25.
According to an Aviation Source News report, the airline now operates one daily nonstop flight in each direction. The Boston-to-Barcelona flight (Flight No. 345) departs at 8:04 p.m. from Boston Logan International Airport. It arrives the next morning at Barcelona's Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN) at 9:45 a.m. The return flight (Flight No. 346) leaves Barcelona at 12:50 p.m. and lands in Boston at 3:38 p.m.
Aircraft for the new routes will be Airbus A321s configured with Mint (business) and Core (economy) cabins, offering lie-flat seats in Mint and JetBlue's standard amenities in economy. Aviation Source News report noted that Mint and Core cabins include unlimited high-speed Wi-Fi, seatback entertainment, and meals. Mint delivers fully lie-flat private suites and premium dining.
Introductory fares celebrate the launch, starting at $349 one-way in Core and $1,799 in Mint from Boston. Barcelona-origin prices of 399 euros in Core and 1,699 euros in Mint for select summer dates.
In addition to Barcelona, JetBlue's Boston-Europe expansion adds Milan starting May 11, bringing up to nine nonstop flights weekly. The airline already serves Amsterdam, Dublin, Edinburgh, London (Gatwick and Heathrow), Madrid, and Paris year-round or seasonally. From Boston, customers can connect to more than 130 daily departure destinations across the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
According to Aviation Source News, the expansion aligns with JetBlue's JetForward strategy to strengthen the East Coast leisure network. It also positions Boston as a focus city for international growth with enhanced premium service and expanded European connectivity.
