Boston’s Seaport is gearing up for another busy summer, and one of its most popular warm-weather staples is coming back right on cue. The Seaport Summer Market returns for its fifth season on Saturday, May 2, bringing a rotating lineup of local vendors, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities to Seaport Common.

The outdoor market, now located at 85 Northern Ave., will run on 18 Saturdays through September 26 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Organizers say shoppers can expect more than 40 vendors each weekend, with over 60 businesses participating throughout the season. Admission is free.

The market, presented by Boston Seaport by WS Development and curated in partnership with The Makers Show, focuses on small and independent businesses. That includes a mix of local, women-owned, and minority-owned brands selling everything from apparel and jewelry to skincare, home goods, artwork, and specialty foods.

New vendors this year include Aquidneck Honey, Fairy Greens, Matt Hassan Art, and Kong Mountain Tea. Returning favorites such as Sand + Stone, With Love, Paint, Aurabead, and La Folie Press are also set to come back.

Beyond shopping, the Seaport Summer Market leans into a more laid-back, community feel. Each weekend will feature a live DJ along with activities designed to make it an easy stop for families. Expect lawn games, a bubble machine, and a popular “instrument petting zoo” hosted by the Fort Point Artists Community, where kids can try out different musical instruments. The petting zoo will run on select Saturdays from June 6 through September 19 between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

“We love bringing Seaport Summer Market back each year as a way to support small, local businesses,” said Jessica Chen, assistant manager of community and partnerships for Boston Seaport by WS Development, in a statement. “We’re excited to kick off the fifth season and welcome the community to discover new makers and returning favorites while enjoying the neighborhood all summer long.”

There are a few schedule notes to keep in mind. The market will not be held on May 23, July 4, September 5, or September 12. If rain is in the forecast, the event will shift to the following Sunday.

The Seaport has continued to expand its lineup of seasonal programming in recent years, and the summer market has become a key piece of that effort, drawing both locals and visitors looking for an easy weekend outing by the water.

For those planning ahead, the formula is simple: browse local vendors, grab a bite, and stick around for music and activities. With its mix of shopping and entertainment, the Seaport Summer Market is once again shaping up to be a go-to Saturday destination in Boston this summer.
