The 10th Annual Ready for School Backpack-A-Thon- Hosted by Jackson Blue

This high-energy and high-impact event on Friday, August 5, on Boston’s City Hall Plaza, brings together more than 850 volunteers to fill 40,000 backpacks in under four hours. Backpacks are filled assembly-line style with all the new school supplies a child needs to be ready to learn—many of which will be picked up by Nonprofit Social Service Partners directly from The Plaza and distributed within days. Corporate partners are critical to the success of this program and we welcome the opportunity to work together on customizing a Ready for School partnership to meet company goals.

At an impressive speed of more than 10,000 backpacks per hour, Backpack-A-Thon will produce 40,000 new backpacks full of notebooks, pencils, rulers, calculators, and more in just four hours! After celebrating successful teamwork, Backpack-A-Thoners can sit back and enjoy lunch while hearing about the incredible ways this annual event touches the lives of thousands of local children through our network of 124 Nonprofit Social Service Partners. And don’t forget the Golden Pencil Awards! Find out more about what you’ll be doing on August 5th!
