The Battle of New England is a national caliber basketball tournament that will bring together 120 exceptionally talented high school athletes over three days to participate in one of the most unique Basketball experiences of its kind for players, for basketball fans and for region.
Boston has long been a mecca for exceptional high school basketball. While Boston has enjoyed a rich basketball showcase history with historically significant tournaments like the Boston Shootout. Battle New England “reenergizes the Boston Basketball landscape” and takes the “Boston Basketball Experience” one step further by creating a unique opportunity for selected athletes to showcase their talents, to enhance recruitment opportunities for coaches, and to increase the entertainment value for Boston high school basketball fans in the New England region. To be crowned the Battle NE Champion, Eight teams from Boston, Los Angeles, New York, Hartford, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, and Worcester and Springfield Mass will participate in a 3-day tournament that will also include a signature “Slam Dunk” and “Long Distance Shootout” competition. Funds raised from the event will support youth programs at the Boston Centers for Youth and Families.
During this inaugural year, Battle New England will take place at the Madison Park High School Complex in Boston, Massachusetts from June 15-17th.
