Street Team (part-time)

HOT 96.9 is seeking part-time Street Team members who are interested in learning more about event marketing and the fascinating world of radio broadcasting and promotions. As part of the Street Team, you will work to gain exposure for the radio station at station-produced and/or sponsored events, area concerts, sporting and cultural events and other on-site opportunities relevant to the station’s marketing and sales efforts.

Candidates must be detail oriented, creative, and outgoing. They must have strong communication and organizational skills and must be able to represent the station in a positive manner at events. Candidates should have strong people skills, web/internet knowledge, and must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines. All candidates should possess a desire to learn more about promotional/marketing strategies for radio. In order to be considered for the position, candidates must have a valid driver’s license and must be capable of loading the station vehicle in preparation for events.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up, execution, and breakdown of station appearances;
  • Representation of the station in a positive manner;
  • Maintenance of station vehicle and prize inventory;
  • Interaction with clients at sales appearances;
  • Upholding appropriate station image at all events;
  • Communication with Promotions Coordinator before and after events;
  • Assistance in training new employees

IT Support Engineer

Description:  Beasley Media Group Boston – home to Boston’s most listened to radio stations: ALT 92.9 WBOS-FM, HOT 96.9 WBQT-FM, 98.5 The Sports Hub, Country 102.5 WKLB, and 105.7 WROR – is looking for an IT Support Engineer to join the IT team.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the IT infrastructure for the Boston market. The candidate will have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures regarding Microsoft Windows desktop and server, Basic networking, MS Office in production environments and eager to learn new technologies.

Qualifications: 

  • Must have at least  1 to 3 years working with Cisco Network Routers, Switches, VPN and Firewalls;
  • Experience with Microsoft Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2, Microsoft Windows 7, and 10, Webroot AV, Remote Access;
  • Experience with basic network troubleshooting
  • Experience with Windows infrastructure including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy as well as Office 365 experience;
  • Experience with desktop deployment and imaging;
  • Responds to Help Desk requests and assigned call tickets. Tracks service requests by entering information into a database, and closing the requests upon completion and completes thorough documentation in tickets before closure.
  • Maintains computer/peripherals asset inventory.
  • Coordinates and executes office/desk moves, adds, and changes.
  • Serves as a technical resource/lead for project implementations as it relates to client end user environment.
  • Manages the implementation of system changes as it relates to PC hardware and software.

Radio Staff Engineer

Description:

A rare opportunity is available to join Beasley Media Group's major market radio engineering team to work with some of the newest state of the art technology at 98.5 the Sports Hub. Duties include but are not limited to studio and transmitter maintenance and construction, as well as troubleshooting advanced RF Systems, and audio routing systems. The ideal candidate will be successful in working well with the staff, thinking clearly under pressure, and applying creative solutions in a timely matter.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of radio engineering experience;
  • Knowledge of RF Systems and RF troubleshooting skills;
  • Experience with radio studio construction and maintenance;
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds;
  • Must be willing to work off hours and be on call;
  • Must have your own transportation;
  • SBE Certification a plus;
  • Ensure compliance with FCC Rules and Regulations;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Valid drivers’ license and vehicle insurance are required.

Imaging/Commercial Production Director

Description:   Beasley Media Group has an immediate opportunity in our Creative Services Department for an Imaging/Commercial Production team memberThe ideal candidate is proficient with Avid Pro Tools, experienced in imaging, directing voice talent, and capable of communicating and working well with our five sales departments. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment, while effectively juggling multiple projects preferred.

Beasley Boston Internships

The Internship Program for Beasley Media Group radio stations WBQT HOT 96.9  - Radio 92.9 - WBOS-FM, Country 102.5 - WKLB-FM, 105.7 - WROR-FM is a non-salaried position* which is designed to give students hands-on experience with the various aspects of major market radio stations.  The program is available to students, working for academic credit, who are able to work 10-15 hours per week for twelve weeks. Interns are trained and supervised by the department manager for the particular station(s) you are assigned (i.e. Sales/Programming Promotions, IT/Engineering).

Interns must be resourceful and willing to initiate projects.  Good communications skills and attention to detail are important.
