Celtics lose and fans react. The Celtics will not be moving on to the NBA Finals. This is a reality that Celtics fans were thinking may happen but prayed wouldn't. Unfortunately, the team battled back from a 0-3 series deficit to tie it up 3-3 only to lose in Game 7 on their home court. This will just be another dagger into the heart of Boston sports fans everywhere.

The game wasn't even close. From the very first minute of the game, Jayson Tatum rolled his ankle and just never seemed the same the entire rest of the game. He was clearly hurting. Not to mention the other player who was set to be one of the keys to this game, Jaylen Brown, was a complete no show committing 8 turnovers himself alone. The entire team just didn't show up on the biggest game of the year. The game that mattered the most. The game with the most at stake. The game that would've sent them right into the NBA Finals to battle the Denver Nuggets. Instead of preparing for Game 1, the Celtics are now looking at an early off season and preparing for some major changes to come to their team.

What changes? Will they decide to keep their coach, Joe Mazzulla? Will they give Jaylen Brown a supermax contract extension? Will Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown stay together? Or will the team undergo some major roster changes? Only time will tell and we won't know when any of these decisions will be made. What we do know is that the Celtics season ended a lot earlier than many expected.

As you can expect, there were many fans (and rivals) shocked at last night's outcome and expressed themselves on social media. We've combed through Twitter to find some of the best reactions and here is what we came up with. Until next season Celtics.
