We were all waiting for it. Chris Rock’s Netflix special finally aired over the weekend. The live special titled “Selective Outrage” aired at 10pm Saturday night and it was an hour of Chris’ stand up. Toward the end of that hour, we finally got what we’ve been waiting for. Chris Rock addressed the Will Smith slap at the Oscars. “Will Smith practices selective outrage. Everybody that really knows knows I had nothing to do with that s—. I didn’t have any ‘entanglements.'”

“We all been cheated on. Everybody in this industry has been cheated on. None of us have ever been interviewed by the person that cheated on us on television. None of us. … Why the f— would you do that s—? She hurt him way more than he hurt me, okay?”

He went on to question why Will Smith singled him out by slapping him when many other people in the media and in Hollywood were calling him a b**ch. He then ended the night by explaining why he didn’t fight back: “You know what my parents taught me? Don’t fight in front of White people.” He then dropped the mic and walked off stage, ending the night.

The Will Smith Oscars slap wasn’t the only thing addressed and poked fun at during the live special. Topics ranged from Meghan Markle, to raising his two daughters, to sex, to abortion. Here are the biggest takeaways from Chris Rock’s live Netflix special “Selective Outrage.”
