Gotta love a good book. Whether you're into fiction, non-fiction, history, memoirs, romance, whatever. There's a book for that!

The GetUp Crew: Ramiro, Pebbles, Melissa, and Leroy share The Best Thing I read in 2022.

Ramiro - It's a tie!

"This book came out in 2016, but this was the first time I read it. It is incredible! From the publisher 'four generations of a poor Korean immigrant family fight to control their destiny in 20th-century Japan, exiled from a home they never knew.' I couldn't put it down. It's currently on Apple TV+ as a series. I haven't been able to watch it yet because I need to just sit in my love for the book for a while." - Pebbles

If we're going to go with something from this year, I read several really good ones:

Uphill: A Memoir by Jemele Hill, Waxing On: The Karate Kid and Me by Ralph Macchio, I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy, Half-Blown Rose by Leesa Cross-Smith, Book Lovers by Emily Henry, Somebody's Daughter by Ashley C. Ford, and The Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green.

Melissa - I don't read

Leroy - Some quick books like “The Art Of Letting Go”, “How To Think Bigger”, etc…
