Got Barbie fever? Who doesn't? Especially this week since the Barbie movie is officially in theaters on Thursday. Barbie themed clothing, events, food dishes etc. have been popping up all over the place. Barbie clothing has had a boost in sales in the past month and it's all thanks to the Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling Barbie movie. Boston and areas surrounding the city are hosting some fun and entertaining Barbie inspired events and if you keep scrolling, you'll see exactly where and when these events will take place.

The Barbie movie, while it doesn't officially open to the public until Thursday, has had several screenings to the press and the general public nationwide and has begun to get reviews. As of Wednesday morning, there are 114 reviews and an 89% Tomato Meter. That is actually a great score seeing as critics are known for giving movies like this pretty bad scores. As of now, there are only critic scores since the general public really hasn't seen it. The comments "Barbie’s plastic parade of camp and goofy hijinks slowly give way to the kind of tender, insecure emotion that Gerwig is so damn good at." ~ Hoai-Tran Bui critic. Another comment: "Ultimately, Barbie is so many things: a stereotype, a toy, an idea; a vessel of imagination; a cultural relic. But in Gerwig’s trusted hands, this is Barbie like you’ve never seen her before." ~ Emily Maskell from Attitude.

Regardless of the reviews, Barbie is projected to make as much as $110 million in its first weekend of release in North America. For this reason alone, it seems we are all coming down with Barbie fever. And this is why you need to keep reading and find out where you can celebrate everything that is Barbie this week in Boston. If you have any suggestions, feel free to let us know.
