Today is National Drink Beer Day! We are celebrating by showcasing the best breweries in Massachusetts voted on by YOU. Before we get to the breweries and why you love them, let’s talk about why we love beer so much.
According to the website www.craftbeertour.com, there are several reasons we love beer. First, it tastes good. Second, it makes you feel good. Third, it’s refreshing. The rest of the reasons: it’s communal, historical, cultural and it makes you more creative.

What type of a beer drinker are you? There are several different types of beer. According to the web, there are actually dozens. From lager to ale to stout to IPA, there is destined to be a type of beer that you will like. If you want to learn about the different types of beer and what makes them so unique you can CLICK HERE.

As far as beer fun facts according to www.order.beer:
Humans all over the world consume 50 billion gallons of beer each year.
Budweiser is the world’s most famous beer.
Beer is one of the oldest beverages in the world, dating back to 5000BC!
The Czech Republic was the first country ever to have a beer museum.
McDonald’s sell beer on its menu in countries such as France, Germany, Portugal and South Korea.
‘Snake Venom’ is the strongest beer in the world with 67.5% alcohol by volume, brewed by Scottish brewery Brewmeister.

There are actually a TON of breweries here in Massachusetts and in each part of the state. There is actually a craft brewery section of the Mass.gov website where you can see exactly how many and where they are. CLICK HERE to see.
