Massachusetts Number ONE, MOST Popular, MOST Prescribed Drug?

Not a week goes by where Massachusetts most prescribed drug, may cross our paths. It could be for us, a family member, or maybe our job if we are in the medical field. As we get older, we become the doctors of our own bodies, getting to know our bodies, more and more. When we need a specific drug, we begin to know what drugs, are best for us.

Our friend, Dr. Rudy Tanzi, is neurology professor at Harvard. In 2015 he was named one of Time Magazine's Most Influential People, after very successful work researching Alzheimer's.  The list goes on and on.

When it comes to taking care of our bodies, our visits to the doctors for our annual physicals become history lessons on who we are, and where we come from. Singlecare.com did a study on the most prescribed drugs, by state. You may see that many of us, have ALOT in common!

I did not know this. Used to treat high blood pressure, in the South, where many have high BP.

I don't think this treats hypothyroidism, like Levothyroxine .

Sildenafil citrate is another name for Viagra. Formally created to treat high blood pressure.
