Snoop Dogg and Katy Perry are just two of several artists over the years who have been widely successful but have NEVER won a Grammy. Before we get into the list, let's first take a look at the history of the Grammy Awards. The first ever Grammy Awards were called The Gramophone Awards and took place in 1958. Then, there were only 28 Grammy categories in these genres: Pop, Rock, Dance / Electronic, Contemporary Instrumental, Alternative, R&B, Rap, Country, New Age, Jazz, Gospel / Contemporary Christian, Latin, American Roots, Reggae, World Music, Children’s, Spoken Word, Comedy, Classical, Composing and Musical Theatre. As of 2022, there were 91 Grammy categories. There are several other fun facts about the Grammys including the artist who Beyonce took the record from who held the title of the most Grammy wins before her. You'll never guess who it is. The following artists, you'll be shocked to find out, have had enormous musical success but have NEVER taken home a Grammy. Some of them, you'll notice, have had several nominations but have never actually won.
