The great news for fans of the movie is that Meryl Streep has signed on to reprise her role as Miranda Priestly. Emily Blunt is also rumored to be returning as Miranda’s assistant Emily Charlton. However, there is one major star who has allegedly not signed on to the film and is not expected to.
Anne Hathaway not expected to reprise her role as Andy Sachs
While the actual cast of the sequel has not been confirmed, it is rumored that Anne Hathaway will not be returning. Screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna is also rumored to be returning and the movie is allegedly in development at Disney although there has been no official word as of yet. While it most certainly looks like this sequel is happening, we still don’t know for sure who is and who is not on board.
