Two Boston area locations have made the list of the best places to live in the US. Money.com has released its annual list of the top places to live in the country. According to the site, the factors they took into consideration were: economic opportunities, quality of life, diversity, and where the best futures lie. Two locations in Massachusetts made the top 20. One, a city and one, a town. We will count down the top 20 below.

There were other factors that went into Money.com rankings. According to their site, in previous years they'd taken into consideration many factors but were "often quaint, affordable — and unintentionally yet overwhelmingly white." For that reason, they wanted to create a list for a broader group of people. With those goals in mind, according to Money.com:
"We first gathered data on places that:
Had a population of at least 20,000 people — and no population maximum
Had a population that was at least 85% as racially diverse as the state
Had a median household income of at least 85% of the state median"

Then, their team of writers and editors ranked based on several other factors including: cost of living, diversity, economic opportunity, education, fun and amenities, health and safety, housing market, income and quality of life. They narrowed down to 125 and from there, the debate really began. They went through pros and cons of each place, deal breakers and other factors. They feel they have come up with the best and most diverse list to satisfy people from all walks of life. Let's run down the top 20 and highlight of course the two areas in Massachusetts that made the list. Do you agree with this list? We'd love to hear your thoughts.
