Have you seen billboards popping up with a gold background and 4:44 looming about? Well, it might be a new JAY Z album.

I'm mad at myself, first of all, because I saw this driving into work the other day, and I totally slept on it, thinking it was some random thing. I should have realized with the gold and black trim that it had to be a JAY Z thing.

Despite my frustrations of TOTALLY sleeping on this news, it's exciting to feel the rumors of a new JAY Z album, considering he hasn't released anything full length since Magna Carta Holy Grail, which, sorry to all Y'all purists, but I thought it was pretty amazing. As HOV said in "On To The Next One" (a highly underrated song in my opinion), "Hov on that new shit n****s like how come, N****s want my old s***, buy my old album."

Anyway, we know Mr. Carter is going to come correct, and of course, his teasers are causing hype all over:

A Roman numeral teaser was even released, but doesn't seem to be anywhere other than 2DopeBoyz, but also spells out the same time bracket:

Someone also dug into the code of the ads, and found the listing to be coming from JAY Z's parent streaming site.

Other than HOV's recent feature on the DJ Khaled song "I Got The Keys," there's a little teaser from Zaytoven in which he happened to be in the studio with the master, as well as a shot from Swizz Beatz, who has been a collaborator in the past, captioning "Album Mode Zone."

There's other speculations, including that the 4:44 could be a reference to John 4:44, as Pigeons and Planes notes, "He himself had said that a prophet is not honored in his own hometown," but the real terrifying idea is that maybe it's an announcement for the twins that they are having, and that this is all crazy hype over a pregnancy announcement. (Anyone remember Beyonce's Good Morning America snafu?)

Far fetched, but hey, you never know.

Furthermore, I want to take this moment to note something: JAY Z is one of the biggest entertainers in the world, is #2 on the Forbes Hip-Hop list for most grossed income, and is one of the most respected businessmen, yet he's still putting out all these teasers supposedly for his new album. Meanwhile, his wife can just drop an album out of nowhere and cause everyone to run, scream, and cry in amazement. #PowerOfBeyonce

The other rumor is that the album will drop on the 13th which would be on a Tuesday, which seems a little odd, but what would make sense to me is the 4th of July. Jay & Bey are both born on the 4th of a month, this would be the 4th Blueprint if that's the album title... You get where I'm going with this.

But if the teasers are out this soon, I'd bet money that the album will be on Tidal this Friday at 4:44, right before everyone splits for working hours.

Keep your eyes peeled, conspiracies commence!
