Kawhi Leonard Is Being Sent To Toronto
Kawhi Leonard is being shipped to Toronto.
In a deal involving Raptors All-Star Guard, DeMar DeRozan, and other pieces, DeRozan is being sent to San Antonio while Leonard and other pieces will join Kyle Lowry in Toronto.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the deal has “been close for a few days and has nearly fallen apart several times.”
The San Antonio-Toronto deal has been close for days and nearly fallen apart several times, league sources tell ESPN. Ujiri wanted to inform DeRozan himself late last night, in hours before trade call. DeRozan and longtime teammate Kyle Lowry talked hours ago, sources said.

Woj also has said that neither player is excited about the move, which is understandable. DeMar has three years left on his contract and is coming off a season where they were the number one seed in the Eastern Conference for the playoffs AND LeBron James just left the East.
As for Kawhi, he has made it known that he wanted to go to the LA Lakers, but that clearly didn’t help his cause.
Now the question is will either of the players stay with their new respective teams or will they both jump ship when the time comes?
We will have to wait till at least next year to see what Kawhi has up his sleeve.
