Shoot Out Takes Place At Studio Where Usher and Rich The Kid Were Present
Yesterday, Rapper Rich The Kid‘s entourage was attacked during a robbery and shoot out at Westlake Recording Studio in West Hollywood. R&B singer Usher was also recording at the complex.
The Daily News confirmed with a spokesman for the West Hollywood Station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department that an assault occurred outside of the West Hollywood record studio on Tuesday (Feb. 12).
According to witnesses, about 10 shots were fired at the studio, and according to TMZ, the male who opened fire was running away from the studio when he began shooting behind him.
Rich The Kid, who was outside when the mayhem transpired was reportedly the target of the robbery.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies rushed to the scene and blocked off nearby streets to collect evidence and speak to witnesses.
One member of the security was reportedly pistol-whipped, and according to police money and jewelry was allegedly stolen.
Hours before the attack occurred, Rich The Kid, who released his debut album, The World Is Yours last March, had shared a photograph on Instagram of himself holding stacks of money in front of a blue Lamborghini.
His caption read, “For motivational purposes only.”

Usher left the scene unscathed. Neither him or Rich The Kid have spoken about the incident as of yet. TMZ tried to speak to Usher about the incident while he left the studio, but Usher entered a vehicle without commenting to TMZ.
