The trailer for the late Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin's Amazing Grace documentary has been released and includes unreleased footage of the Detroit native.

The film is about the "Say a Litte Prayer" singer's popular 1972 performance of "Amazing Grace" at the New Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles.

The clips seen in the trailer of a 29-year-old confident Franklin belting out notes were shot by Sydney Pollack and edited by Alan Elliot.

During the legendary icon's performance, she also sang songs like "Mary Don't You Weep" and "Climbing Higher Mountains".

Franklin's show was turned into her Amazing Grace soundtrack, which is still the best-selling live gospel album of all time, according to Billboard.

The documentary hits theaters on Apr. 5.
