Los Angeles Clippers And Golden State Warriors Pay Tribute To Nipsey Hussle
Last night (Mar. 31), both the Los Angeles Clippers and the Golden State Warriors paid tribute to slain Los Angeles rapper Nipsey Hussle.
Before their game against the Grizzlies last night, the LA Clippers paid tribute to Nipsey Hussle by playing his music and announcing that he was born and raised in LA. They also posted his picture on the jumbotron. Montrezl Harrell, a power forward and center for the Clippers, also wrote “RIP NIPSEY 8/15/85-3/31/19” on his Reeboks in addition to sharing his condolences on Instagram.
The Golden State Warriors also played his music before the game. In the second video above, some of the Warriors are seen dancing as Hussle’s music is played.
Nipsey Hussle was shot six times and killed yesterday in South Los Angeles in front of his store, Marathon Clothing. The 33-year-old Grammy-nominated “Racks In The Middle” rapper founded his apparel store in 2017.
