Peloton recalling all treadmills after reports of injuries, one death
Get ready to give up that Peloton treadmill. Peloton yesterday announced voluntary recalls of both its treadmill machines over safety concerns. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said it has received 18 reports about the touchscreen loosening and six reports of the touchscreen detaching and falling from the Tread. There’s been one child death and several injuries as a result of using the machine. In a statement, Peloton apologized for not acting more quickly and suggested anyone who owns a treadmill to stop using it immediately and to call for a full refund.
