Two Popular New England Brewing Companies Announce Merger
Two popular New England brewing companies are kicking off 2025 with a bang and have announced a merger.
Per WickedLocal.com, Mass. Bay Brewing Company and Finestkind Brewing LLC are merging to form Barrel One Collective. If you’re not familiar with either of those companies, there’s a good chance you’re familiar with the brands they own. Mass. Bay Brewing Company is the parent company of a variety of brands, including Harpoon, Long Trail, and Dunkin’ Spikes. Finestkind is best known as the parent company of Smuttynose Brewing Co.
In total, Barrel One Collective will be the home to 14 different brands. Additionally, they will also run a variety of taprooms and other businesses throughout New England beginning in spring 2025.
The new CEO of Barrel One Collective is Dan Kenary, who is the co-founder and CEO of Mass. Bay Brewing Company.
