The Game Steps Up for LA Fire Relief, Launches Animal Rescue Mission
The recent wildfires in Los Angeles have caused a lot of damage, and many people are struggling. The Game is stepping up to help his community recover. For the past few days, he’s been delivering food, drinks, and supplies like blankets to support the firefighters in Pasadena who have been working non-stop to fight the fires.
“Me & my team have been down here with the brave men & women fire fighters on the ground day in & day out assisting anyway I can to make their days a little easier,” he shared in a heartfelt post on Instagram. “The hearts & level of humility in each & every soul down here is a beautiful thing to witness & be a part of. These fighters are coming from all over the city, state & country to help put an end to what has been a long week of catastrophic events caused by these fires.”
Wearing a Pasadena Fire Department hat, The Game shared photos of himself helping the firefighters, carrying things like pillows and coffee, and encouraging people to pitch in however they can.
On Monday (Jan. 13), he shifted his focus to rescuing animals. He helped save pets left behind in the chaos of the fires and worked to reunite them with their owners.
“Started day 5 on an animal rescue mission & it’s a miracle that some of these animals survived the fires seeing the aftermath of what occurred here,” he posted. “Brought food & water in hopes they’d trust the team enough to get them to a nearby shelter where hopefully most of them can be reunited with their owners.”
He shared photos of dogs, cats, and even chickens he rescued in Pasadena and Altadena.
