Providence’s Track 15 Food Hall Opens in Historic Union Station with $25M Investment
The new Track 15 food hall will open its doors March 18, 2025, inside Providence’s historic Union Station following a $25 million renovation of the space.
Inside the restored 1898 building, which kept its beautiful barrel-vault brick ceilings and original granite walls, seven local Rhode Island restaurants will dish out their specialties. The station served train passengers for nearly 90 years until 1986.
“We couldn’t ask to open in a better situation,” said Alp Gumuscu, co-owner of Tolia, to the Providence Journal.
After being announced in 2021, the project fought through COVID delays, supply chain issues, and construction challenges. Now finished, the 16,000-square-foot space features a central bar and can seat 300 people across indoor and outdoor areas.
The restaurant lineup brings tastes from around the world – Dolores, Dune Brothers, Giusto, Little Chaska, Mother Pizzeria, There There, and Tolia serve everything from fresh seafood to spicy Indian dishes.
You won’t need cash – the hall accepts cards and Apple Pay, and sends texts when your food is ready. The space combines shared dining tables with cozy corners for private meals.
Outside, a huge 10,000-square-foot plaza hosts gatherings and events. Sports fans can watch games on the lounge’s massive 88-inch screen while enjoying craft beers, wines, or non-alcoholic drinks.
With parking for 500 cars, Track 15 is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, staying open until 11 p.m. on weekends.
