AJ Dybantsa, a highly regarded recruit for the 2025 class and a signee with BYU, showcased his dunking skills at the Sprite Jam dunk contest held on Monday, March 31, in Brooklyn.

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese witnessed Dybansta sail over her before he finished with a one-handed slam dunk. Reese, who is 6 feet, 3 inches, was at the top of the restricted area on the court. Dybansta had to elevate his soar slightly by placing his hand on her shoulder.

Dybantsa and Reese celebrated the dunk with a high-five. Reese then pointed toward the judges, asking them to give Dybantsa a perfect score of 10. You can view the video on ESPN SportsCenter's account on X:

Dybantsa played high school basketball at Utah Prep, where he gained recognition as a Five-Star Plus+ prospect. However, Brockton, Massachusetts, is Dybantsa's original hometown. He was the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking

“The No. 1 player in the 2025 class, AJ Dybantsa, showcased a powerful arsenal,” On3's Jamie Shaw said in a scouting report in November 2024. “He has a dynamic offensive game at a lengthy 6-foot-9, and he showed a full array of scoring moves when he was playing 18 feet and in. Dybantsa has excellent footwork in the mid-post."

Reese has averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game as a rookie and was named to the WNBA All-Star game. She is awaiting the start of her second season with Chicago on May 17.
