The Red Sox open their season Thursday, March 30th versus the Baltimore Orioles and believe it or not tickets are still available. While most people go to Fenway Park for the Red Sox and the rivalries that play out on the field, there are others that go for the social aspect. They love to get together with friends, meet new ones and have some amazing food and drink. Fenway definitely has upped its expectations for good food over the years, having introduced some new and exotic food offerings in the past couple of years. This year is no different. Beginning in 2022, Fenway began offering: Platanos Maduros, Fluffer Nutter Fries and a Jalapeno Cheetos Hot Dog, as well as MingsBings, a vegan snack created by Ming Tsai. In 2023, there will be some new food items that will be talked about just as much. Not only are there new food items but there are some new drink choices as well. Another positive is that just like last year, the park is completely cashless. Vendors will be able to complete transactions without cash and if you only have cash, you'll be able to load it onto a debit card provided for you at the park.
Now if you're a traditionalist, you can still get your basic Fenway Park food starting tomorrow. You can eat your Fenway Frank, your popcorn and wash it down with a Sam Adams Lager. There are dozens of drink offerings including Angry Orchard, Dogfish Head and Harpoon. If you are vegan or kosher there are food items available for you as well. Let's take a look at the new foods being introduced to Fenway Park this season. You'll be able to enjoy these items starting tomorrow for opening day. Go SOX!
