Olympic-themed Halloween costumes. You had to know they were coming, and we’re here to help you get yourself ready. I’m sure you’ll be able to get an all-in-one costume kit, but come on face it, it won’t be as good as one you could put together yourself. With all the viral moments during the recent Olympic Games in Paris, there are some great options for Olympic-themed Halloween costumes. Here’s how you can get yours together and have a viral moment of your own.
Viral Moments To Inspire Your Olympic-Themed Halloween Costumes
The Olympic Games are officially over, and a lot of people are having withdrawals. But you can keep the games alive with some Olympic-themed Halloween costumes inspired by some of the best viral moments. For example, here are a couple of the viral moments we won’t forget.
Nada Hafez went viral when she revealed that she was 7 months pregnant while competing. That’s incredible! Meanwhile, I was judging the competitions from my couch. Lol
So let’s get into it. Here are some DIY Olympic-themed Halloween costumes for yourself, or you and some friends to try.
Simone Biles
Here’s what you need to get Simone Biles’ gold medal look!
This is the key to creating the look. Now all you have to do is get a navy blue tracksuit, bling it out a little with rhinestones and American flag patches, some cheap gold medals from Michael’s or Amazon, sneakers, and you’re good to go.
Australian B-Girl Raygun
I honestly believe that the success of this costume will be more about how you carry yourself than what you wear. But definitely get a green shirt, pants, and hat. Add some yellow highlights to it with patches, paint, whatever, and plan on spending the night squirming around on the floor. Or you could also get one of these T-shirts, a hat, and green pants.
Stephen Nedoroscik AKA Pommel Horse Guy
Bronze medalist Stephen Nedoroscik became one of the Olympic Games darlings. He went viral for not only his performance during the games, but his “Clark Kent/Superman” looks. You could go two ways with your costume, either using inspiration from the above picture, or the one below. So either get a blue sweatsuit and add an American flag and medals, or go for the red unitard look. But no matter what you decide to do, you have to get a Rubik’s cube and glasses.
Here’s Stephen talking about becoming a viral sensation, and solving a Rubik’s cube in seconds on Jimmy Fallon.
Here are some other pics you can use for inspiration as well.
Great one to do with a couple friends…
