Quincy Jones Honors Ex-Wife Peggy Lipton With Heartfelt Tribute

Quincy Jones recently shared a heartfelt tribute to his ex-wife, who succumbed to colon cancer on Saturday (May 11) on social media. 

"There is absolutely no combination of words that can express the sadness I feel after losing my beloved Peggy Lipton....My wife of 14 years. We shared many, many beautiful memories, & most importantly, we share two incredible daughters," he wrote on Instagram.

"Regardless of the paths that our lives took us on, I can say with the utmost certainty, that love is eternal," Jones continued.

The tribute to the Mod Squad actress also contained words from Jones and Lipton's daughters, Kidada and Rashida Jones.

"Thank you for all the love and support over the past couple of days. Some have asked what can be done in Peggy’s honor," they wrote. "In lieu of flowers or gifts, you can make a donation to Seasons Hospice, the wonderful team who took such great care of our mom."

Lipton and Jones married in 1974 and were together for 14 years. They separated and eventually divorced in 1990.
