Rhode Island woman uses her stimulus money for a front yard zoo
Nancy Conner is from Pawtucket, Rhode Island, is 86 years old, and used all of her stimulus money to make other people smile. She said she saw people walking up and down the street looking really sad and wanted to do something about it, so she created a “zoo” in her front yard. She started building a stuffed animal zoo with the help of a local firefighter who lives on her street, and now lots of people are walking by every day, and she says that seeing the smiling kids is worth all the effort and money she’s put into it.
