Yesterday we said goodbye to Rep. John Lewis, as his funeral was held in Atlanta. President Barak Obama delivered a eulogy, and President Bill Clinton and  President George W. Bush also spoke at the funeral. I didn't watch the entire service, but I was definitely teary-eyed watching Obama pay tribute to the man who, he told on his Inauguration Day, "This is your day too."

Earlier in the day, The NY Times released an essay written by John Lewis just days before his death. Talk about tears. This had me crying again. The essay was a letter to America, a thank you, and a call for action for the next generation, to continue the peaceful fight for freedom.

The essay was later read by Morgan Freeman.

Here's President Obama's full eulogy for John Lewis.
