An acclaimed New York City restaurateur — the Union Square Hospitality Group, led by former "Top Chef" judge Danny Meyer — is bringing two new restaurants, Ci Siamo and Daily Provisions, to Boston's Seaport District later in 2025, according to a Boston Globe report. The Italian and all-day cafe concepts will open at the mixed-use development Commonwealth Pier. Last year, the restaurant group announced it was coming to Boston but did not reveal the establishment names.
Led by Chef Hillary Sterling, Ci Siamo will serve "homey" and "approachable" food at its Boston location. Dishes will include stuffed whole trout with pine nuts and raisins and pizza bianca with anchovies and salsa verde.
Daily Provisions, with its tagline "your neighborhood kitchen," will offer a diverse menu that includes crullers, sandwiches, roast chicken, coffee, and a selection of beer and wine.
The openings of Ci Siamo and Daily Provisions in the Seaport District are part of a larger initiative to enhance the area's dining scene.
Ci Siamo and Daily Provisions aren't Meyer's first forays into the Boston restaurant community. According to Boston magazine, Meyer was responsible for bringing the famous Shake Shack, the international chain of fast-casual burger joints, to the region. More than a dozen Shake Shack locations operate across Massachusetts, including the franchise's 100th outpost, which opened in the Seaport District in 2016.
