You ever talk to someone who talks so fast you can barely understand what they're saying? Well, a language learning app named Preply is out with some info to show you which cities and state have the fastest and slowest talkers, as well as the most and least talkative.

How did they figure this out? From Preply - "We analyzed data from two nationwide studies based on YouTube videos and call recordings. We then ranked the average speech rates of Americans from 114 cities and in all 50 states."

When it comes to who were the fastest talkers, they looked at the number of syllables people in different areas spoke per second. As far as who talks the most, they analyzed people who, "use more words to convey the same ideas as others."

So let's get into it. Here are the fastest and slowest talkers by state, and by city, as well as the states where people talk the most. Let's just say New England is very well represented.
