Timbaland Confesses He Fell in Love With an Underaged Aaliyah in Resurfaced Video
This weekend, most people watched the docuseries, Surviving R. Kelly. The series dealt with the years of sexual abuse allegations against R. Kelly involving minor girls.
One of the girls discussed in the docuseries was the late R&B singer, Aaliyah. Allegedly, a 27 year old R. Kelly married a 15 year old Aaliyah before the marriage was annulled. A 2011 video has resurfaced from an episode of E! True Hollywood Story where music producer, Timbaland admits to having once been in love with an underage Aaliyah.
He said when he first met Aaliyah: “I was in love with her but she was just a baby. I’m old. I’m just going to be her brother. I was fighting a big war but I love Aaliyah.”

At the time Aaliyah was 16 and Timbaland was 23 years old. While he never acted upon his feelings, is it inappropriate for him to be discussing his feelings for a minor?
