Keke Palmer Speaks Out Against R. Kelly
R. Kelly’s former “student” Keke Palmer is speaking out against R. Kelly amid the fallout from the docu-series Surviving R. Kelly.
“As a student of R. Kelly’s for the time I was, and having been around his light and understanding the obstacles he overcame as a child to actually be birthed into the musical genius he is today,” Palmer said on Instagram.
“I am hurt and saddened because he could have been a blessing to these women but instead he repeatedly took advantage and that I cannot accept .” In a 2017 interview, Palmer admitted that she spent a lot of time working with Kelly and that he pushed her to pursue music more than acting.
