R. Kelly Taken Into Custody After Child Support Hearing
Today (Mar. 6), R&B singer-songwriter R. Kelly was taken into custody due to unpaid child support after a hearing in Chicago, according to the Associated Press.
Cook County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Sophia Ansari said that Kelly will be transferred to the county jail.
Last month, Kelly was charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse pertaining to four women, including three who were underage during the time of their alleged assault.
Kelly pleaded not guilty to all counts.
The singer recently did an exclusive interview with CBS This Morning’s Gayle King where he angrily denied everything that he’s been accused of.
“I didn’t do this stuff!” Kelly yelled at King. “This is not me! I’m fighting for my f-ing life!”
